Potsy, do you get so mucky at work that you have a shower before you get on the bicycle? Couldn't it wait til you get home?

If the downpour we had this afternoon had come half an hour later, I'd have had a bicycle mounted shower on the way home...

But I didn't.

Tea anyone?

One bit of excellent news for me this week is that one of My Favourite programmes will be shown each day (at 5pm or 6pm on Universal, in case you are curious). The most excellent "Criminal Intent" part of the Law and Order series, and with the excellent Vincent D'Onofrio. :wahhey:

Another piece of good news is that a lovely plant in the garden succombed to the very low temperatures (minus 22 for a week or so) in the winter. From the stump that was left, I now have two baby plantlets growing, possibly a third.

However will I control my excitement now I know that

I am wide awake now, decided to stay up and have an early night instead of a cat nap.
Watching a bit of Wimbledon before Carry on Constable starts

I watched On the Buses the other day, must be my age ;)

"On the Buses"?

What about Shaun? (the sheep)?

I will be at my Mother's ninetieth birthday party tomorrow. Some of my nieces live in Newcastle, and have very strong accents. Perhaps I can text Waffles for a translation. Not only do they have a strong accent, but they litter their sentences with colloquiallisms.

I know someone with a very strong Tyneside accent. He organised a tour of recumbents and other HPV's through Holland, and was interviewed on Dutch TV, where he was subtitled. In English!

I must try to decide what to wear tomorrow. Must be comfortable to drive in for an hour or more, and not arrive as a crumpled mess. It could be a warm day tomorrow. I am guessing that my usual attire at this time of year, shorts and a tee shirt, would not be acceptable.
