Sounds as if you'll be having some beer for breakfast, too!

That's the idea!

Although I think I'll need tea first.

A winning combination! Beer before a night ride is pretty essential IMO.

Ah no, I meant we'll have beer for breakfast when we get there, after the ride.

We'll need it by then, I gather the last 11 miles or so are unremittingly UP. (with 14 miles of rolling stuff before that, preceded by 50 miles of flattish)

Ooh no, it would have to be tea on arrival for me. Mind you, after that I could probably manage a beer.

At least by the UP point of the ride you'll be at the "only 11 miles to go" stage. And you'll finish on a high!

Hmmm, except there'll be some UP before that. But I gather that the bit between Scotch Corner and Reeth is 'rolling'.

At least the final UP is apparently long and slow, not horribly steep.

On previous night rides, I've had the advantage of not being able to see the hills, due to it still being dark. No hope of that this time.

I see Jo is looking to maximise the amount of chips and cake she can bring back from the shops

If she really wanted to do that a bike trailer would be the best option...

Beautiful day here. It will contain hills for me too but only one or two and I do believe there's cake half way round

Shall I put the kettle on? And does anyone want to check to see if Arch left any biscuits?

I feel a feast coming on!

And on that note, I need to get dressed, walk the dog and get on my bike for some RL cake. (Have I mentioned how much I love my new cycle club's dedication to all things coffee shop? :hungry: )
