Where is our Summer!?

It was here last week, now it's gone.

I'm going to turn my back, count to 10, and it better be back where it should be.

You seem to have some cabbage leaves in your cup there HW

Night train will no doubt make his own brommy with left over coat hangers and bits of off-cut 4x2 ;)

Welcome to 'tea'

It would be like that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark, when the Nazi arrives to interrogate Indy and Marion, and produces the thing that looks like a set of numchucks (sp?) or some terrible torture weapon or something, but it turns out to be a folding coathanger....

Not that NT resembles the Nazi, of course, I mean the nifty folding bit...

Welcome Happy Wheels!

Quite a busy day today at work, but there was bonus cake at lunchtime, always welcome.

Tea?

Here be your culprit:

Could be a :sun: week here. So I think I will be on holiday too. As I have not long returned from a cruise, I will stay at home this time. Last week I was very busy watching the cycling of course.

And as further evidence, I'd like to point out that our sun vanished within 15 minutes of me reading that post

Yes please. Proper stuff. Milk n 2 sugars. None of HW's compost  (hello btw!)

A Cup of Tea
When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.

There is magic in its fragrance,
There is solace in its taste;
And the laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.

And the world becomes a lovely thing!
There's beauty as you'll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.

Tea helps our head and heart.
Tea medicates most every part.
Tea rejuvenates the very old.
Tea warms the hands of those who're cold.

Lovely and sunny here :sun:

Healthy chicken burger, chips and salad for tea. And a bucket of Tetley, obviously

Mrs Pots bought me a cup/mug similar in size to the one in my pic, only the one handle though, I think I could get RSI thru too much tea drinking

Back as myself now.

Happy Wheels is indeed happy at his purchase and I am happy to have started a Brompton fund.
It took a bit of effort to decide one way or the other as to selling but I figured that I still have my long tail project based on the Emmille, the Ratrike and Granville and a Brompton would get a lot more use then my Marin.

He has a bargain, as new, bike for relatively little money and I set it up for him and made sure everything worked properly. Even gave him a spoke key and the lights and comfy saddle too.

Another local person on a bike and another Cycle Chatter.

Yay!

May he have many happy miles on it.

I'm having a slightly unorthodox dinner - Ceasar salad, but instead of chicken in it, Waitrose veal meatballs. They were reduced.

I will miss the Marin but I figured that if I needed it I could always borrow it back for a ride.;)

Happy Wheels will need an avatar and this springs to mind as a take on Happy Feet!

How does the Kiva work Phil. If I make a donation, can I choose which country the money goes to?

It's a loan to a person or co-operative for a specific reason. As an example, I've got one loan to a woman from Mexico who wants to raise the standard of living for her whole family by building them an indoor bathroom. She was asking for $500 - I lent $25, which is the minimum and she's now in the process of repaying it.

Go on: do it. You won't regret it

What is $25 in Sterling?

When she has repaid it, do you choose another recipient.

Even as I am writing this, I can see that it would be easier to "just do it" and see what the options are.

I have in the past supported Workaid at www.workaid.org. They send sewing machines, typewriters and carpentry tools etc to people to set up a small business.
