Afternoon all!

Just getting a quick online fix while Max has a nap and Mummy goes to fetch Oli from school.

So far today, we've watched Here Comes the Train twice....

Arch, this is the update of some of the new items arriving at the Resource Centre:
  • Bungee offcuts. Some decent lengths, though perhaps not enough to bounce off bridges with
  • Spiderman promo posters in poster tubes with cap ends
  • Fabric including sari off cuts and some retro upholstery
  • Lots of lengths of pressure treated timber
  • Electrical cable trunking, suitable for elephants as well as cable

A busy day! Lots of drawing, a guided tour of the garden from Oli, Max went to Creepy Crawlies, and we had fried rice for dinner. They're in bed now, and we're just waiting for a friend to come round and crack open the wine.

Brrr, it's :cold: out there. I know I said yesterday that that was it for night cycling in sandals, but now I really mean it! The Tour of Britain sets off from Taunton on Friday and there's an event in town tomorrow evening: if I go, it'll be properly dressed with socks and everything!

Can I get anyone a cup of tea?

It was warm here today. There was a ice cream seller on a tricycle in the park.

Cold?
I just rode back from the theatre, in drizzle, wearing a tee shirt.
I was generating a bit of extra heat though, Granville's gear cable slipped and I found out how hard going it is riding up hill in 3rd gear on a wide ratio hub gear. I didn't take my tools with me tonight and so did half the ride there and the ride back with the hardest ratio. I still think I can go from an 18t sprocket to a 14t on the hub.
The drum brakes are good, really good. Money well spent I think. :bicycle:

Time for cornflakes I think.

Poor Granville, hope he gets better soon. I'd blame the mechanic

It's got the makings of a beautifully :sun: day here, hoping the forecast for Saturday is wrong. We're cycling up Cheddar Gorge and they're insisting on predicting thunder showers all day

Anyone for tea?
*puts speicher's in a thermos*

Yay!

I seem to remember from meeting Granville that his old brakes were a little bit.... lacking. Now, you'll be doing stoppies!

We've just watched Planet Dinosaur from last night. Oli is now even more of an expert paleontologist than before.

When Max is up, it's all trains. When Oli's in charge, it's dinosaurs. Life is simple.

Mummy and Auntie Sue don't really get to choose...

Has anyone seen a large white cat? He possibly knows that I am waiting for him to reappear so that I can take him to the v e t.

He* has an injury to his chin, a puncture wound that looks painful and swollen.

* the cat, not the v e t

Yep, it was my fault.

I thought the cable was slipping on the barrel adjuster but checking it this morning it was the clamp that holds the outer slipping down the chain stay. I had forgetten to tighten that one.

Granville is definately able to do stoppies now!
I blame the BMX tyres giving him ideas.
