Must be time for my Hot Chocolate, and Downton Abbey. The excitement might be too much for me.

How does Glen Ord fit in with your criterium? It is a single malt, I think.

Ah, I'm not a fan of Highland scotch. Islay all the way, and the peatier and more iodine-y the better.
I'd like to do a cycling tour of Islay sometime, but I suspect I could knock it off in a day.
Or a week, if I stop at all the distilleries.

Anita Dobson is a very lucky lady, dancing with Bobby, as she calls him. Anyway at 32, I think he is a bit young for me.

Surely not? Since you're only 21, I'd have thought he was a bit old, if anything!!!!

Afternoons!
Time for a brew and then I am going to mess with Tiddles and see if a Shimano front mech twist shift will index with hte rear hub gears. It will read the wrong way round but as most of the markings are rubbed off it won't matter.

Just turn the handlebars through 180....

Or something...

My cold is ebbing slightly, I'm still coughing a bit and snotty. Got some extra miles in on the Brom today, as Beryl gave up before she'd started work, and we had to do extra trike runs with the other two of us going back and forth on our bikes. :bicycle:

It's cold! :cold:

The twist shift pulls too much cable.
Might try a rear mech shifter. Somewhere between 1 and 7 there might be the three I want!

Following from the 'do not lend your bike' thread in General a friend of a friend wants to borrow my scaffolding tower.

I think you ought to allow that only on a supervisory basis - they do all the work, you watch them from a deckchair, with a flask of hot tea...
