Was thinking of you today NT, there's what looks like a huge mudguard/wheel arch type thing from a lorry at the side of a local cycle path, was wondering what you would make with it

There was also a bike near there the other morning as I rode past at 4.45am, looked like it had been dumped in the bushes, didn't go for a closer look in case it was a 'honey trap' and I would either get arrested or mugged

Potsy, I am sure the mudguard/wheel arch would have fitted nicely round your spare tyre.

Thank you, so kind. I admit to having a waffle (?) yes, just one, not the usual two, with maple syrup,for my pud this evening.

I also (narrowly) avoided some crisps at lunchtime, and then again at about 4pm. I was offered some, and declined, and furthermore, did not buy some myself. And they were Tyrrells Crisps!

For lunch I had roast beetroot and parsnip soup. Sound odd, but was very nice, with a large thick cut slice of toasted granary bread. Followed by ginger and brazil nuts biskits. (and a cup of Americano coffee).

My main meal this evening was lean pork steak with roast tatoes and cauliflower.

I met a cyclist at lunchtime. He had cycled to Worcester from Droitwich, and was in full cycling gear. Very tasty
Yes, the soup was very tasty.

It's marinated in beer, like my laptop...

I knocked a glass over yesterday while answering the phone. D'oh!

Advice seems to be to let it dry, and/or to take the keyboard out and wash it, and then let it dry for 24 hours.

I can post from work, but once I'm home, I currently don't have any t, i, o or 3...

Better put the kettle on....

Ooops. Laptops are the most ridiculous design. It's the technical equivalent of a sign on their backs saying "kick me". Mine's survived many a soaking with coffee/tea. Fingers crossed for yours.

(The 24 hour drying thing is to let it get past the hangover.)
