@Blue you are making me extremely jealous
Yeah, it looks like this winter will be the last one spent on a turbo for so many days each week. Our ex-pat friends were telling us that, whilst it varies, some winters rainfall is almost 'nil' and Christmas day can be 22c for daytime temperature. The prices of basic road bikes seem reasonable but I may go for a Mtb which might suit the rougher mountain roads.

The couple who own the apartment are from Notts and now in their 70's. They only use the apartment for a few weeks each Spring and Autumn so we will be living there more that the owners over the next few years! The location is perfect and the apartment is lovely.

We are both very excited about the development.

Its getting quite windy here now. I hope the trees don't suffer. There are still a lot of leaves on the trees and with high winds comes the danger of them being uprooted. Not nice weather out there. I'll be staying inside.

Don't blame you, I did hear some weather expert mentioning the fact the trees still have loads of leaves on them could be a bad situation. They will be like sails in these storms.

There is a very large oak tree in the field behind my house. If that goes, it will come down very very close to my house. It's full of leaves.

Southern Electric are sending an engineer out tonight with a new meter. Ian (last tenant) has run up a debt of 57 quid so us putting our new card in has fritzed it somewhat. Our fiver of credit that we put on has only given us 1.33 for some reason so the chap on the phone has sent an engineer out who will be here by around 10pm. We are mightily impressed by their customer service.

Chap on phone said that the engineer will put a fiver credit on and set the meter to 10 pounds of emergency credit and put a new card in the post for us which should be here by Thursday.

At least we have a kettle so we can have a brew.

Smart Meter or the older type. I think a magnet has been near it for too long.

No tea! That's poor planning, you could have used sand in a bean tin as a stove.

Just think all that fire wood!

And oak isn't cheap at present either, should you decide to sell it.
