The problem with the trike is that Kevin didn't take enough chain links out when he assembled it at my home and the chain is too long still. It is slipping that badly that the trike is not rideable for me because I need it on the inner chain ring and he only tested it on the middle chainring.
The problem with me shortening it has sod all to do with skill, it was my back preventing me from doing it. My husband had come home from work because I rang him in tears. My landlady's cleaner actually had to help me back into my home and put things away for me because I was in so much pain. (I paid her to come and clean our home after the new kitchen was fitted because despite me along the workmen to put a first sheet between the kitchen and living room, they didn't and every single surface was covered with dust by the time I managed to get them to do it!)
I'm just having issues dealing with the consultant's appointment yesterday. The news wasn't good. If she had told me I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life unable to walk very far that would actually have been an improvement on what was said. She's referring me to someone else more senior. I just hope he had a better suggestion than telling me there is nothing more that can be done to help me. Not being able to sit is not an option I can deal with for much longer.
