Morning all.

I have had a filling come lose and I am in agony. I know that toothache isn't really anything on the grand scale of things but it certainly concentrates the mind. I have had a couple of quite heavy duty painkillers (which have done very little as far as I can tell) and am on my 2nd 750ml bidon of room temperature water. Swigging around it seems to help for a couple of minutes at a time. When it hurts, I look at forums, when it doesn't, I crack on with some office work.
My lovely dentist has got me in for 4pm today. He is a bit of a star and all round nice chap.

I tried half a cup of coffee but it made my tooth hurt

The "like" is for your dentist fitting you in - sounds like nerve/root issue? Strange that water isn't hurting it.
