Was a tad nippy but managed a gentle tootle and it was pleasant once the sun warmed things up a bit. Found a brand new Spear & Jackson saw lying at the side of the road near Auchterarder so stuffed it down the back of my jacket with the handle down the back of my tights........ooer! Made it home without falling off and chopping myself to bits. It literally must have fallen off the back of a lorry I think. Lol.

Not quite the same but I recently had my 24th
Birthday & as yet not even had a txt off 'R' Kid....It's no big surprise to me, he regularly forgets, or remembers when he feels like it.
Some people will always be self consumed & inconsiderate...
I have just booked a days holiday to attend my Niece 4th birthday party, a days holiday last year too, but my Sister & BIL would not do the same. My sister is more considerate than my brother too.
Family eh, you can't pick 'em, would lay down & die for 'em though all the same.

Both my husband and I have dropped everything for my sister when she collapsed at work and was rushed to A&E in a coma. We sat with her until she was discharged and saw her safely home and waited with her until one of her friends arrived to stay overnight with her. I also attended several of her medical appointments with her because she didn't understand what they were telling her and needed someone who could follow what was going on and talk to her about it afterwards.
I guess she really is a generation younger than me. Shame as the generation I know that is her age, do actually have more consideration for family... oh well.
