Strange though, had no recent memory of knowing this, although I'm sure it must have been in the family's knowledge vaguely through the years.

Thank you for that, I will. Although it's unlikely as the lane comes up to the northerly boundary of the building leaving room only for a path. There may be some around the other three sides..... or in the yard perhaps...
