Apparently all vestiges of the thing formerly known as 'routine' are gone when the party of the household that had regular employ finishes that employ and retires. Hence I get up at my routine time and do all of my routine things as usual and then have my routine plan for the day and then madam gets up later (I can't sleep later than my routine getting up time) and has some 'alternatives' (read: a whole new non-routine plan).

I'll not complain too much but it has meant that I no longer know what day of the week it is until I look at a calendar or news website!

I won't be riding as the hip is much better but the pain has moved to a massive bruise just above my butt, and I'm really stiff <waits for comment from @stephec >

Tell me about it. I have wasted many valuable minutes working out what day of the week it is. Sometimes if I remember what wheelie bin went out it at least gives me an idea. However, that only really works for mid week.

I now have alarms on my smartphone for bins out day... doesn't work out when they are a day out because of Bank Holidays and I end up being 'the only bins out man in the village'!

Morning all.
Wiggle delivery due today. I've asked (on the delivery instructions) that they take it next door, if we are out. New tyres for me and new cleats for Hubster.
W*** today, and guitar lesson so I'll be back online about midnight

Last night, I spent most of my time either sticking a colour remover on my hair or rinsing it off. While the goop was on my hair, I got on with some practice. The rinsing took an age, but I'm blonde again so pleased with that. Even husband noticed the change in colour, so things must be improving.
