Early start to get to Leamington?

Good afternoon Mr. @172traindriver. Only a little bit, started 8am, arrived 9.45am.

Just making a bit of lunch and we are giving some serious consideration to a quick 20 mile drive to the beach, with the dogs.

Afternoon all, I'm back from the Hospice - what a cracking day! Walked down this morning and back up at the end of the meeting, saw Mr Heron standing on the edge of the Water of Leith waiting for any unsuspecting fishes.

Hello, I have returned!
I spent about 3 hours sitting in the sun, going over both bikes, putting the foam grips on the hybrid and giving the MTB a deep clean.
I got to the part where I was to lube the chain, and discovered I only had wet lube (ugh!).
Jumped in the car with Mr SL and ran to Halfrauds and got some dry stuff.
While there I popped into TK Maxx and picked up two Buffs (well, buff -like things!) for £6.99, so I'm pleased
We then went into Tesco and got lunch.

A skip has now arrived in next doors parking space, and is being filled with all sorts of bagged rubbish. The banging has stopped.

I have a Belles ride tonight, so will be heading out for that at about 5.30pm.
I now have about 7 ladies who want a longer mid-week ride, so it looks like I'll be busy! Oh and we have a 15 mile potter on Saturday too!

Quite a few up this way.

Swallows have been slow to appear. Only just saw my first one sitting on telephone wires this morning. Just on its own so hopefully rest are on their way. I felt a right idiot as I spoke to it when I walked past with the dog then realised there was a guy standing on the other side of the road. He no doubt thought I had lost my marbles. Lol

I saw swallows in Mallorca early last month, obviously the trail blazers and if they had any sense they would stay in Mallorca and benefit from the warm weather there. Why come to our cold climate, plus also it's not so far to fly back to Africa for the winter

Just back my dog walk and I am not sure Mallorca would be much warmer today. Boiling out there. If my legs weren't so tired I would be extremely tempted to go back out on the bike.

That's Royal Leamington Spa (as my sister & BIL keep reminding us) they lived there for a bit after Uni.

Just stick to Leamington, you should see the not so posh areas (if you know where), they aren't Royal
