I got fed up of getting letters telling me how much I could save/what it may cost.

I took photo's of the car and e-mailed them on. They left me alone after that. Didn't even reply to the e-mail!

I am back from paying bills. A huge 5deg C was reached. I have been getting quotes for my buildings and contents insurance. Mine is due for renewal at the end of Jan. Best quote was for £160 Less than i paid for this year, and that includes contents insurance. My last renewal did not.

One piece of advice that i would give everyone, is to shop around every year for buildings, contents, and car insurance.

I tend to do that most years but have also found that if you do an online quote as opposed to the renewal quote that can often come in quite a bit cheaper.
I then end up phoning and asking them to explain that, it also happens with the AA.
They will then come out with the stock line about that's for a new policy etc, so I then ask whats to stop me not renewing and taking the new quote.
Often it's let me have a word with my supervisor etc after I have said give me that price and I will pay now.
Quite often I get the cheaper rate
