Romain fort just to the west of me, it was reckoned it was an extension to the Antonine Wall, old rumour has it was connected by a road which ran just to the back of here at the top of the golfie but obviously never proven but it was the obvious line between two forts.

I'd love to have to know how the Romans coped with the midges.
I still say it was the midges, not the Picts that drove them back.

They may have brought them as a leaving present.
That would have been nasty.
I wouldn't inflict them on anyone.
Just be grateful they haven't reached your neck of the woods.
