Good afternoon people. Off to see football (Sky Sport) in pub this afternoon. Its a slight problem really 'cos I support both Arsenal and Sunderland (for various reasons). As it happens, so does my friend! On the whole we want to see Sunderland win as they are in danger of relegation. And anyway, we are all fed up with Wenger...

On a side note - Soreen lunchbox loaves were going for £1 at my local sainsbury's last night so i bought a load of them back in preparation for FNRttC's Shoreham-on-sea ride. Ive never tasted one so i decided to gobble one down with a banana and a cup of tea as i felt a little peckish after fettling. As far as taste goes, it reminds me of a tea cake (with raisins) thats been dipped in tea before consumption I have no idea why but i thought it was going to completely blow my mind away when i bit into one. So many cyclists have hyped the mighty Soreen loaf but at the end of the day its just like any other malt loaf but with a little less sugar.

Soreen is delicious - especially when soaked in a little brandy .
