Now at work. Germans don't understand the basics of civilisation, which is why they have the great big coffee machine brewing from morn till night, but don't even put the kettle on at the start of the day.

I just said hello to the Business manager and he asked "Don't you have holiday today?"
Now, I think I might: we discussed closing the department this week as there's very little to do and it is half term, but it was undecided when I became sick, and after 2 weeks off I'm not about to call and ask "have I got the week off (paid)?" So I'm awaiting developments
I still need to finish prep for my presentation in three weeks anyway, and I can probably do it here easier than at the apartment, with 4 kids (2 recovering from a with tummy bug)
That's assuming you lot don't distract me too much, anyway.

Council using shovels, no chance. Too much hard work instructing them how to safely use one(Four A4 sheets per person to be filled in!), let alone letting them loose with oneI just thought that clip looked just like the council...
