upped the blades so now a follow up cut say Wed or Thurs...

Not really, in fact my loyalty to the toaster is fading because the local supermarket bread doesn't fit: I'm using the grill most of the time...

Tell them at the supermarket that you want bread that fits in your toaster, the correct bread!
