I was looking a a couple of scanner bases but spare cash needed elsewhere just now(garden)..
The SDR (runs off the usb cable) with it's sister program, SDRUno will pick up anything, anything SW and any of the Ham bands plus all sorts of decoding options using other programs, it can scan too best looking at youtube videos for an idea.
I use a YouLoop for HF (two actually, plus a 144mhz/433mhz antenna, I just use RG6 cable off Amazon as it is listening only.
If I get one, it'll be handheld. The mobility aspect comes into it.

Plenty available,
I have a Uniden 3500 which does well,
an old model now.
if buying one, get a Chinese 2m/70m handie antenna,
I use this with mine
HERE
got to check the bit where it screws on, there are two types of SMA.

Oh, well thought I'd sourced a replacement back wheel at that place so reserved online and off to pick it up
AND guess what, out of stock,
I have been caught before,
their phone had been redirected to their national call centre so no one there had a clue if they had it in the shop.
oh, boy....
not pissed but shrug the shoulders:laugh:

At £500 there should be a "few" available. Can see why you'd save some money not buying one.

You bust another wheel, how?
Sold down the river were you. If you'd paid for it, it should have been there.

If they've your money, demand your wheel.
No bike shop nearby you could try?
Hope you get it sorted, sooner rather than later.

Morning??

Money being returned, the usual 'it'll be in your account blah, blah'
It's an wheel which takes the punishment my weight and skills give it,
I've still plenty miles in the present one..
I'll get round to it...

anyhow, excellent cycling weather out^_^

Always slower at giving your money back, quick enough taking it though.

You should get it fixed, then you'd have a spare one if needed.

Hope you enjoyed the ride, just stay away from the canal!
