And there's a few that do, more akin to a coach on water.

I suspect so. Most of the river runs through very pretty countryside. Actually, now I think about it, there may be some going to Basel.

Helensburgh was the connection, birthplace of Buchanan and Logie Baird..

I'm out for the evening, not literally, just off
Ken Richmond, the man who struck the gong on Rank movies.
James Arthur Rank bought Baird's company, Cintel, which he ran in partnership with Buchanan.

Early start to the training game!

And then you'll be up watching, at who knows what time.

This the same tower you were having problems with before. Where you did a fresh install then as well?

For now, aye.

The one where the onboard soundcard refused to work. You swapped back to another one, having done a fresh install.

Another "Viking Funeral" maybe?

No, hope he's not caught anything. They're, passenger crew, have had a fair bit thrown at them down here, these last twelve months.
Mo still peeks in, just doesn't post. Not posting as much anyway. Repeats on TV has got her attention!

They'll be back, you wait and see.

Aye, that one..
although I got one of TX'ing data programmes up and running with no problem, sent a few test calls and got a report back, I use aircraft scatter due to my lousy VHF location and low power, lousy antenna too....but I'm on HF 99% of the time anyway...
back up now to full operation..
so the soundcard thing I dunno as apparently there wasn't a soundcard fitted as onboard audio had just been used in thistower.
I do see another query on the offending program's group page about someone having the same problem
I might install it again to see if I catch the same issue.
I don't need the program on this one..

Hopefully all is okay with him, I'm sure he'll pop in just to say Hi!

Over and out:laugh:

You seem to be having fun with your computers. It's as though they're fighting back.

Question Time
Object seen in the night sky, on Sunday.
Either a very large Chinese lantern, or summat else. Lost in cloud, but no normal navigation lights showing. A lot bigger than anything else seen that night.

Ideas?

Nah, that was in the east East Riding, I'm in the west West Riding. At least 50 miles between the two. And they had clear skies by the look of things.
Estimated size, around 50 foot if no higher than 500 feet. More if higher.
Travelling E by ENE to W by WNW, against the wind. Speed, @100 knot's plus, assuming lower altitude.
You've been watching V again!

Owdo
They'll have a laugh at least.

Morning??
