Keep the hosepipe on standby and a believable excuse in your head. Just in case.

The bath went with a few bangs as the guy broke it into several pieces - even the pieces were quite some weight.

Walls are now being drilled and tracked for the pedestal and shower. A lot of noise and dust so the internal doors are earning their keep

If you want to relive those days blue has a cast iron bath being smashed today. I'm sure he can save you an insert if needs be.

still pretty breezy and a chill NW wind..

Some gardening work,
had a wee treat for lunch, a tin of sardines, spread on well done toast..
Just waiting on the Basque Tour..

Nah, one country track which had a sign saying one house left intrigued me..
so I took a nosey...
it has a sold sign..
will be fun in the winter getting in and out that bit....

yeah, the whole three headless and tailless wee oil-soaked fishes...nice

The first sign was wrong then, there's non left.

We don't get the winters we used to. They just seem to last longer.

Nine years is a bit long to wait for a cake day. Does it mean you're allowed some cake today, or are they sending you one/some?

Relative calm so far today. Mrs B still sleeping and the washing machine spinning.

The shower tray and pipework is in and tanking of the walls is well underway. The guy worked until 7pm yesterday and is to spend a couple of hours this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon on the tanking so that the tiler can get stuck in on Monday. Will we have a functioning bathroom by Wed/Thurs???

We had a cat fight at the back door yesterday evening. The usual 2 turned up for a snack, but then a new black and white fella turned up, just after the black tom had left. A verbal standoff with the tabby and white ensued - doesn't take much to amuse us these days so we watched the spectacle until it was time for tea!
