Can't keep using them,
pal got a basic key cut and it opens both doors but no joy in ignition
looks like Xmas may be cancelled

Expecting icy roads as temp fell to just above freezing

Mate works in spare dept for car firm...
got pal to cut but no joy..
Couple of calls made with hope of someone getting back, problem of owing a Chevy car...
anyhow trying to stay positive..
up to 3.1 mm now and more forecast

You couldn't glue the fob back in place an have it a similar distance when using the plain key?
Doesn't appear to be any electrical connections on the one shown earlier.

Rain has now given way to sleet, with occasional snow flurries. Also dark for mid-day. Could be another white Sunday.

We had hoped to initially use the made key with the fob to do temporary until we sussed everything out, cut key does the doors but won't turn in the ignition, typical

Try that too often and you'll be locked in the car with the alarm going off.
They have you by the "short & curlies", use their keys or no key!
Could you not use the next one only in the ignition, not the doors?

Car hasn't got an alarm..
big shop done so no move again until any news of keys..

You've claimed the seat nearest the fire, with the best view of the telly. Which just happens to be within easy reach of the kitchen.

Only is one seat here, computer chair, no fire, kitchen downstairs
