Why shouldn't it do! You can go back for the one you missed another day.
How lazy a day?
T'weren't too bad here, dry with the look of snow in the offing.
They left it behind, get you wondering about this "race of giants" who had appeared from the south.
They were advanced for their time, almost ahead of themselves.
Enjoy...

Now you know why the biscuit drawer was out of bounds for you.
He'll be a bit young still to be coming round on his own.

Suppose you want some plain bread and jam tonight, yer stuck.

Did you gain access to the biscuit drawer in the end?

Can't you pinch his key?
He is smaller than you, and you should be able to run faster than him.

No drooling allowed!!

Crabby's?

Bit early to be hitting the hay isn't it.
We're with you brother, us and the rest if the Union. One out, all out!

If it is, will you be able to manage your excitement?
Will you?

Who's been letting him near the Red Bull.
Try keeping up with him without the ankle, it'll be a bit harder. Or, just hop off after him. Using yer good ankle.
If he taunts you, no telly, he'll soon learn not to. Use a second remote.

Nowt exciting on the box?
If I remember right, they don't start while next month.

Getting better...
That looks more like a trench than a wall. Nip south and have a gander at Hadrian's effort.

I know you said you were thirsty, but where did you put all that. You'll not be sleeping in bed tonight!

Rest yer weary bones for on the morrow, battle recommences.

Hadrian bricked it (literally)
and thought these Jocks are a bit rough for us,
Antonius Pius had more cahunas and ventured further N.
the photo is from the fort at Roughcastle just above the Wheel.
Interesting area..

Possibly, but it's a wall.
Not just the Picts either. My money would have been on those that ventured further north still. Leaving no wall or ditch to keep people from travelling.
What's interesting about the area?

ME:cuppa:
Been reading up on the local Roman stuff and the history of mining in the area,
coming from an area steeped in shipbuilding I thought conditions were tough (my dad worked in the yards all his life), it is nothing to the conditions these old miners had to suffer, recently read a report of Scottish mines from the 1840s, it was emphasized that it was more sympathetic to the owners than the men (and before 1840, the women)..

More tea, Jeeves:cuppa:

You're not there now though. Does that make it uninteresting!
We've moved on a bit, work wise, since the Romans were here.

Plenty of old mines round these parts as well. Some open, some as we know mines. Not all coal mines either.

Nearest remaining "shipyard" is a few miles away. More a boat yard than ship yard. Made boats for the local canal network.
