Looks small enough to hide and take most places you shouldn't/wouldn't be able to take a normal sized one.
Cheap, but dear enough to make you wait and see if they get reduced before you'd buy one...
Buying to put in yer collection, not use?
Think it's antennae but could be wrong. You're the expert.

Wet here, although not as wet as 24 hours ago. Christmas shopping already!
Amazon Man, thought Amazons/Amazonians were all women.
No chance of sunshine here, rain might ease a bit more but not expecting much.
Adding to yer rattling collection. Hopefully yer boots won't get too wet.

Read the reviews on this, I have one
HERE (moonraker)
It only does from 25 MHz up, but you could get a length of copper wire and/or a Youloop (Google it, I'd use one for listening) I use this from R$ LW area up to around 180 mhz...surprising on VHF

Still dry, sun has gone as has Mrs M..
Home Alone again
Wonder if Mo felt any of them on her early morning wanders?

Maybe contact the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Poor Bob's. See if they can help.

Donations gratefully accepted...

Seems to be a fair bit of interest in Irish ATC in those reviews.
You want another! One not enough.

Promises that it will dry out today, from the same people who promised us snow this week. If it doesn't, I'll not be surprised.
At least you had some sun, don't moan because you didn't top yer tan up when you'd the chance.
On yer tod, enjoying the peace and quiet.

Where do I send mine?

The main tract for N America cuts across N of Dublin so obvious a great place to receive transmissions.
I'm in the middle of our two top airports, I can occasionally pick up EDI andanything dropping in, GLA, I get what drops in, but EDI is best for me. It is surprising how far away you can hear.
Mine is sitting in the garage doing nothing
Think we are in for a possible 0 °C night...... no rain today, first rain forecast? Tues I think.

I got plenty done as well as playing radio, day of rest tomorrow....

Just keep it, I don't need white fivers:laugh:

Thought that the main route was up the length of this island, before making a left turn at Scotland?
I'd be able to get the overhead traffic, and possibly the local airports, Manchester and Leeds/Bradford. Did with the Steepletone airband radio.
Surprised you got Shannon, from up there though.
What's yer tan doing in the garage?
Light rain from early morning, turned to more of a mist, which still had people saying it were chucking it down. Think we're due the first frost, of this winter, tonight or tomorrow.
They're forecasting 10" of snow, overnight, so we'll get nowt.

You enjoy the day on yer tod, doing as little as possible, playing radio and suchlike...

Has tha seen the price white fivers are fetching these days...

Have a look at Flightradar 24 tomorrow between 12 and 14.00..
The only time they send the bulk up over us is if weather patterns are affecting that tract...
Years ago, they used to set 6 tracts for the day ahead, and we had our fair share flying over.
Most interesting flight routes are the old 'Blue Spruce Routes', now discontinued, but the alternative nowadays is fuel at say, Wick Airport, fly to Iceland, fuel up, then head for the Canadian coast, same again, then hop down the coast to say the US, Donald says if you're fat, you're not getting in....I know someone who flew a small plane back from Canada that way. Got to be very accurate with yer route plan.
It's a joint venture to do ATC, Shanwick, obs Shannon , Prestwick...

Showing 5.9c just now here....Mut Off did forecast 1c around 5.00am.
I'm off to Wonderland...

I'll check, see if you're correct.
I have noticed that there's more flying NW than N in recent months. When exactly it started I don't know.
They can be seen on clear days, high up, and then checked on flight radar, to see their start and end airports.
Too fat to enter, that'll be a plane load of passengers being refused e-entry every day.
Single engined plane?
Think Shannon is the last, and first European ATC contact on transatlantic flights.

You wrapped up nice and warm, in front of the fire.
Enjoy Wonderland

I'd say we hovered a wee bit warmer than you did. Though they keep on promising colder weather, so it'll never happen.
Odd, we'd non either.
Jet wash, then bekkie whilst receiving yer orders for the day.
Squelchy underfoot when you got there?
Enjoy yer day out, minor transgressions excepted. Old haunts again, how long you been into this haunting malarky...
Yer spoons must be better than here. Tacky carpets, food walked into them...
I won't tell a soul, don't worry about yer reputation.
You need to get one of those portable jet washers that use any water supply.

Different management up there then. Compared to down here.
All frozen, with Mike doing the cooking.
Not much retained water in the ground, after recent rains...
Do you practice your groans before you go!

These one-a-day pills have made life much, much easier:ohmy:
Painkillers halved per day too...
Still not walking too far though, best rest I think.. it's (hopefully) working.

Had hoped more snow would show in the Glen of Coe, but the Great Shepherd's E wall was bare, more likely as it faces E.
Home Alone again....
Just having Greggs bacon roll and coffee, bacon is superb tbh.
