14 contacts if I remember...
Been that busy today..
Out shopping, GCs for stuff..
Framing certificates then putting them up as well as a photo....
and radio, of course..
13 contacts so far, now 14..

Still woozy last night but okay this morn,
was going to the flashy lights down from above the garage but every time I thought about it the rain came on lightly, typical though half the folk here just leave them up...

7.1 mm here (so far), 6.1 at 9 am...
Not that many to enter on your system then. What'd be an average day, contact wise.
Keeping The Twins entertained with yer singing...
Who'll be to blame if there's summat been forgotten... Yer'll be all shopped out now.
Certificates, you got more than one! Simple case of replacing last years with this years, or
did they require new frames buying.
Radio is to be expected.

Didn't they give any advice on what you shouldn't have been getting up to after the scan? Given you were made wait thirty minutes after it before heading home.
Dried out slightly down these parts in the early hours. Think all the rain must have headed north to stop you taking yer lights down...
They'll be down tomorrow, rain or shine I suppose, you'll not be leaving them up all year.

Sounds as though you were simply catching everywhere else up, rain wise...

Allo all :hello:
Forecast says rain until next Sat:eek:
Just as i was going to get some seeds going..
Mind you it means a cool start for them..
Toodlepip !!
Owdo
The wettest start to the year on record, so they're claiming. Now were you thinking about getting some seeds started, see taking flashy garage lights down, or actually planting/sowing them. You might be behind the rain, all this thinking...
Temperatures are set to drop below zero this time next week. "Cool start" would be an understatement.

Its me working a Spanish station and logging on so 'paper' log in the corner and it appearing in the main log, follow the red cursor
Still too small, full screen on a tablet, to see anything other than bars moving and the cursor.
Bar, bottom centre. Colour change from red to green, does each match transmitting and receiving?

Any repeat contacts.
Fifty a weekend sounds a decent number to my untrained ways.
Other things(3D printing, The Toodles Gang) taking over...
Slowing down is what retirement is meant to be in'tit?

Depending on the source, we had anywhere between 3" and 8" in January. The heavy stuff is due this month it seems.

Occasionally the colour on the program I use tells me.
Any green is some one I have never worked (on any band),
Sky blue I have worked on another band or mode...
Texas orange is that I have worked on the present band and mode....
I can set not to work anyone who calls me if its a repeat contact but I don't mind if they want another contact.
I have 'worked' one bloke 307 times....but that is through SOTA (Summits on the Air), second is a French fellow on POTA (Parks on the Air)

No wondering on your part, before checking, that you've had them before. The system will let you know, handy feature.
They all count though!
Every time on a separate summit and different park no doubt.

All these visits are medical. Yer not planning yer next trip to Ireland, possibly at a reduced rate...

More shopping! Thought you'd done all that just the other day. Brekkie at a GC or elsewhere?
Jobs such as taking yer flashy lights down, not just thinking about it.
Didn't know McD's did beer now. Enjoy anyway...

Exactly, bloke was very prolific from the mountains,
Parks one is just drive up, set up and do your thing, mountain summits are different.
Pack all your gear into mini rucksack and step climbs most of the times with a long walk in.
I did one, a low hill (they use the Marilyn system) and it was a 13 km round walk for 1 point...
I'd 84 activations overall, I suppose not bad for someone who hasn't a car licence, good ole Mrs.
Not the ideal place now for chasing the contacts....so POTA chasing took over.
You could only activate each summit once per year, Parks one is different..
I've activate the highest point in Wales and yer one darn sarf...
Have done some Lakes fells too.
Think when this heals, small steps.. but looking good today^_^
My calls seem to just being picked in Russki today:laugh:

It was Spoons as usual..
I see Lidl got a pub licence in NI somewhere

Back to yer Sound of Music again. "Climb every mountain" or did he do repeat peaks.
Drive up, set up, and do yer thing sounds right up yer street. Chauffeured to and from each one. You ever track down that one that seemed to be within sight of being "caught" only to disappear.
You ever set off up wondering if she'd be there, and not a nearby cafe, when you got back.
Yer man must have plenty to climb then, if once a year is the limit per peak.
When you get back on yer bike, yer'll be able to travel further on yer own.
That one has queues, waiting to go up at times. And the steps are nowhere near a cafe. Bar at the summit.
High Street?
Small steps, just more of them required. Good to know it's getting better.
Maybe "they're" keeping an eye, or an ear" on you!

Ferries are going to price themselves out before long.
Would "they" be the twins, headed for Blackpool.
You've more faith in their food than I have.
Wouldn't they require one to sell alcohol anyway?

He's semi retired from it,
I've been on Snowdon twice, once by choo-choo.
I've only ever bought mugs from the summit, the original one got smashed so last time I got two...
I prefer the hilltop stuff tbh...
Might be well past that as well, I prefer the VHF aspect as height helps greatly, HF (shortwaves)? , I can get the same results from the bottom of the hill.
No, funnily never made High Street..
across the valley did Stony Cove Pike but the usual NW and W fells like Blencathra, Skiddaw, Helvellyn , Scafell Pike (im my 60s I may add and much earlier too), been tramping the Lakes fells since 1979 (none last year BUT)

No, the Twins will stay. If the ferries got back to reasonable pricing, Donegal would be a destination. I think I've mentioned about (before) planned cycle from Larne/Belfast to Donegal around the NW roads but priced it up, and for the ferry fare alone, we got the ferry from Oban to Mull and back, three nights B&B plus most of the meals for cheaper than the Norn iron ferry fare so Mull got a circuit.
Strange sign in Mull...(may have changed)
