Nah, he was just some dirty drunk irish gypsy that stole a few things from a tesco up the road. He said he bought the stuff but couldnt provide a receipt -- still had the tesco shopping basket and all. I hope the meat in his basket spoils and he gets a severe case of the sh*ts.
you can generally tell the difference between scum and someone who genuinely has a problem and turns to alcohol to either run away from their problems etc etc. At least I can make a good guess, after all its my job to watch people all day. While i might not know their entire life story or what it is thats causing them to walk down that narrow path. there are 'good' alcoholics and there are 'bad' alcoholics. The bad ones do it because its what they do.
Otherwise this world would be some Utopian society.
