Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Good afternoon folks. I was on sewing duty. Sewing the hem up On a grandsons school trouser. I even managed to thread the needle without needing to use a magnifying glass.

Now who is it here who knows about laying patios? I think there is someone ^_^. The thing is, I need a new patio and I'm at the mercy of yellow pages because I don't have a friendly patio person round here. I have no idea what it should cost. Its not a huge space but it would need paving stones disposing of etc. I need a patio impervious to weeds (is that possible?). All advice welcome...

He's not been here for a while. As for the the weeds, get the weedkiller sooner rather than later, then you'll require a sheet underneath to stop them growing through.

You'll always have weeds on patios though.

I had this naive idea that there was a perfect impervious patio! I've got a hard standing parking place in the front and that seems quite weed free (except around the edge). Perhaps I need a hard standing out back too?

Sheet'll stop them growing back. But the cracks between the stones will always gather dirt, which will let the weeds grow.

Cracks in concrete/tarmac will allow the same thing to happen.
