Sheet'll stop them growing back. But the cracks between the stones will always gather dirt, which will let the weeds grow.
Cracks in concrete/tarmac will allow the same thing to happen.
I don't do paving anymore @Motobecane sorry..and even when I did I only had a 25 mile radius..
