Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Just watching the news. Dreadful fire in a london block of flats. Truly horrendous with many injuries and likewise, there must be many fatalities.

Very sad Mrs D. It brings home the possible dangers of living in abhigh rise block in a situation such as this.
I remember the fire in one of those massive blocks in Dubai a couple of years ago. If I remember fortunately no body perished in that one but having been there and seeing the high rise buildings it does make you wonder.

Reported back to base at 14.00....
Over 5 hours away..

Thought I'd clean and oil the chain,
bad move,
eaten alive by the dreaded midge..
More lumps now than a coffee shop.

I'd planned to cut the grass and look after the tubs but sod that.
I'll wait for a howling gale..

Oh, and Good afternoon:hello:

How will a howling gale get the grass cut?

I bet old Bones get plenty of offers to come and cut the grass
I didn't realise the midges were such a problem in your area Bobby. I though they were worse up in the Highlands and also the country as opposed to urbanised areas.
Anywhere in Jockland is infested..
I suffer badly, breaking out in welts.
Slobber coconut oil to take the itch away
I reckon that's why the Romans never invaded us..
They had a hillside watch post about two miles to the west of here on open moorland,
it must have been a helluva posting..
surrounded by knee deep heather.

Mind you it could have been our mad women:laugh:

We won't go there with the women especially as we don't want to upset a nice one in deepest Perthshire
It's weird as I have asked my mate in Inverness about the midge problem and he seems to say they don't have any problems with them in the built up areas for example where he lives.
How long is the season for them Bob? Is it right the way through till the end of September?
