Very quiet here... so...the referendum date is set. Some 40 years after that last one to decide whether we stayed in or out (yes, I do remember it!). We used to call it the Common Market. Now I'm feeling old! One of the benefits of being ancient is the free bus pass. I'm thinking of setting off into the wild blue yonder on a bus trip. Sadly, it doesn't work in Europe! Or does it? ... at least, I don't think it does.
There's a book written by a bloke who set off round the country using his bus pass, I read it a few years ago but can't remember the title or author, it's a good read though.

OK. Here is a question for Tea visitors or residents:
Where in the UK have you not visited but would like to?
Mine is Whitby. Its supposed to have the best fish & chips in the world.^_^:hungry:
Get yourself up there then.

I've only been there for work, but from the bits I've seen I can't imagine it could occupy you for more than a day or two if you stay in town.

But if you don't go you'll never know.

Oh well. I'll just have to tour the UK. Plenty of places I haven't seen yet. Whitby is on my list.
And on mine.

That was dramatic!
Rain was forecast for today but we woke to the usual bright sunshine. After breakfast I looked up to the mountains above Limassol and could see a storm rolling in. Suddenly it hit with rolling thunder and lashing rain. That's the way it is here; weeks of endless sunshine then a day of thunder and lashing rain followed by more weeks of sunshine. The local press run regular features on how low the reservoirs are - and this is Winter!
Still, the forecast for the next 9 days in for plenty of sunshine with temperatures ranging from 19 to 22 so I'll just enjoy looking out at the rain today! :cuppa:

Mrs B and I have NI bus passes but we'll be able to apply for an all Ireland pass when we hit 65. I toured around Ireland quite a lot when I was young but Mrs B hasn't seen much of the Republic so we intend using our all Ireland Pass to the fullest extent when we aren't in Cyprus.
