Thanks for warm welcome!
:okay:
Hope everyone has had a good day. I'm home for quick cuppa after another glamour filled day at work. Shower calling, then off to swimming lessons with my 3 little terrors, no rest for Daddy!
Need to find time later to fit new brake blocks and face the look of disgust from Mrs O when she finds a bike in the kitchen. Dying to get out for a decent ride, I've been rubbish this winter and need to get some miles in me legs before weather picks up.
Splish splash then! Do you have to get in with them?

Great wee tablet...
I love my Nexus(first generation), I pre ordered it 2012.
I dread anything happening to it....
smooth as butter....
My 2012 one died last Sunday half-way through playing the News Quiz on iPlayer radio. I was gutted. It's been in a case and had a screen protector since day one, so it still looks as if it just came out of the box.

It's now a paperweight after all the suggested 'fixes' failed. I've ordered a used one from eBay, and I'm desperately trying to remember where I stored the backup files I had from the now-dead one....

Oh dear! But I suppose 4 years is not too bad for the life of tablets? I don't know. I use a Macbook Pro (big investment ) after years of using Windows and things slowly grinding to a halt. So far, so good. But I don't really need a tablet as I'm mainly at home or if I stay away, I'll take the Macbook with me.

Yeah. It did grind to a near-halt when the OS updated to Lollipop, so I rolled it back to KitKat and left it there. I did buy an iPad Air 2 last March, but still used the Nexus 7 a fair bit as I've had years of Android phones so I've a lot invested in Android apps and games. I'm still an Android phone user and I'm not impressed enough by iOS and Apple to ever change that. I've really not found iOS any better than Android, and in some ways it's far too restrictive.

Good morning from Scouseland
:hello:
It's the weekend! Tennis lessons at 9 for my little girl, followed by footy practice at 12 for the 2 lads, then a visit to my Ma & Dad.
My big lad plays footy for his under 9's team and they let his little brother train with the under 7's even though he's too young to play....he thinks he is Ronaldo now! If anyone hates the way modern football has got, go and watch the kids on a Sunday morning, restores your faith!

I did use one of cyanogen builds but somehow missed the feel of the stock stuff plus the launcher I used had some issues which I could have worked round, I prefer android as i like the wild west approach to it, no wall garden like Apple (oh and if you have had some third party repairs done on your IPhone, the new OS could brick it so you go back to Apple and pay the usual fortune to get it back to bog standard)...I did still have a couple of apps in the Play store last year but it was from gingerbread days but not long ago, they removed them... aaaaaaah.
