Good afternoon. Its a big cooking day today as we are having a lunch party tomorrow, here at my friend's. I'm going to do most of the cooking today plus tonight's dinner. Apart from that I'm pondering cleaning item of the day...

Afternoon all !!!! Bean an expensive weekend so far....first of all mothers day gifts are bought and ready to be dispatched ....then come home to find my OH wrestling with our whirrley clothes dryer which is down on the ground at an angle due to the wind and the pole has snapped.....and a gas bill comes through the door ...to cap it all our washing machine door wont open after doing a cycle .....grrrr.......takeaway and wine required / deserved tonight me thinks....

Make & model? Have you tried a spin cycle on the machine to drain it, often they "think" there's water in the machine so won't allow the door to be opened.

Update ....my OH has just stuck it on spin and door unlocking again ...cheers for your advice

bacon eggs and coffee were served at 630am then i was of walking my mates dogs for a hour

I've just got back from the hospital after visiting my mum. She really is quite unwell......carted in by ambulance last night, with blood pressure of 230 over something big, and some major internal bleeding going on somewhere. She also has a massive infection that has resisted 2 bouts of antibiotics, including one lot of intravenous weapons-grade stuff. The ward nurses wouldn't let me take any flowers in (infection control). Helluva mother's day for her.
