Thanks for the well wishes for Mrs B folks - we both appreciate that. Unfortunately the problem is dementia so it will only get worse and the best we can hope for is a slow progression. New meds were started this week and she's tolerating them well so we hope they will hold back the flood for a good while. Yet another brain scan will be done in the months ahead in an effort to classify the exact type of dementia/alzheimers. In the meantime we are struggling a bit but awaiting a call from a dementia nurse who may be able to give us more info. It's such a cruel condition because the partner, like me, is usually getting on in years too and so also has to struggle while watching the devastation of their loved one as they struggle to cope. As luck would have it I've always been a glass half full type so I'm going to make sure we max out on everything while we can - hence the spending spree which started today - our long term plans have all been moved to the short term! Funny thing is that now that I know she can't help herself when she does bizarre things I no longer get piqued so we are getting on better than ever.
