Morning tea people. And it's a grand morning too, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it's a glorious summer's morning, with sunshine, birds everywhere, and about one car an hour to disturb the tranquility. Secondly, it's my last full day on the computer for a couple of months!! Yay! I've organised my work such that I don't have to do much until September, so I'll be able to focus on the work on my house and garden almost exclusively.

Oh, and if you want a "thirdly", Joe Root is 180-odd not out, and the South African attack looks flat and somewhat toothless.

That reads like a 'sorted' summer. I hope the weather is such that your activities are a pleasure for you.

Bit of a disaster ride wise today. Road works with huge long traffic lights still there, then on the B4404 council workmen have thrown a load of gravel onto the road. They will then go over it with hot tar. No way am i getting that stuff on my bike. Only 6 miles done.

Indeedy...it's better than Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. I'm managing to see the funny side of it, but I am going to be moving on sooner rather than later (but I will fire when I am goddammed good and ready).
