Hey, I made bara brith yesterday. Any of you tea people in the vicinity would have been most welcome to come over and enjoy a slice with me, along with a decent pot of Darjeeling........but unfortunately, you're too late. I've finished it.

I made that same recipe, but quadrupled the spices, and chopped in some dried apricots. You'd have loved it, traindriver.

I make bread 2 or 3 times a week too.........and no, not with a bread maker. One of my best buddies is a professional bee keeper, so we have the very best honey in the whole wide world, in vast quantities. Put fresh warm bread together with that, plus my wife's wonderful cakes, and I don't know how the hell I'm not fat as a pig.
