Five week holiday! You a school teacher now?
You finished the editing? Will we allowed to hear the screams as you approach the hairpin just that bit too fast, hoping the brakes work?
No, video editing still in progress, or at least the uploading. Editing the videos doesn't take too long, but uploading them to Youtube takes forever! Just a half hour video (and I have 13 videos this length or more to upload) takes 1 day to upload to Youtube. I'm about to upload video 9 of 13, so will hopefully be done by this coming weekend sometime.

You spent more time actually riding!

Doesn't matter. If the ride report takes a few weeks to prepare because of the time I spend getting the videos ready, then so be it. This new thread-editing sub-forum makes that easy now, thanks to @Shaun.

It was the uploading to youtube time that suprised me.

Don't rush the ride report, do that and you'll miss something.
I'm only on ADSL 2, and not a very good connection either, so my upload speed tends to be only about 100-200KB / sec, so it's not surprising that a 30 minute video (about 4GB at 720p resolution) takes a whole day to upload.
Australia's internet infrastructure is well behind the times, and is embarrassingly bad.

You're not able to switch it on/start it off and leave it?

No "traffic" coming the other way? If not how have you stopped it.
Sorry, but I don't understand what you're talking about.
I prepare the video using a video editor, then use Youtube's upload function to upload the video to Youtube. While the video is uploading, I can of course still use the internet for email, web browsing etc., as there's no restriction on me having simultaneous uploads and downloads. What I can't do (or it's not a good idea) is edit the next video while a video is still uploading, as this requires reading / writing the same HDD, which is inefficient.
