Well, today I am supposed to be having a small operation on my back, so last night, I got the paperwork out and checked through it, particularly to find out about fasting beforehand. Nowhere on the letter does it mention the procedure I am having, but there is a leaflet stapled to it which is for the wrong procedure. Oh great. I can sense a major cock up here, and more wasted weeks, and they probably won't answer their 'phones before 10 this morning.

Well the operation went well, and my back hurts like hell now, as they said it would. The operation to get me home afterwards didn't go so well, though, as my wife didn't answer her phone for 2 hours, and doesn't know how to retrieve voice mails. They had to admit me to a proper ward because I couldn't be discharged without someone collecting me, and the unit I was on shut down for the day at 6pm. I finally left the hospital nearly 3 hours after they were finished with me. Frustrating.
