I stood out the back yesterday getting ready to head out and saw the young gull which has been mooching about on the roof take off for what looked like its first flight, nudged by parent..

Noisy bassas though.

Rain here, was considering going for a steady potter for an hour to loosen the legs after yesterdays long ride because I have another long one planned for tomorrow.
Still decided to pop down the cafe on the industrial estate in the car for a bacon and sausage sandwich and a large mug of coffee

Noisy bassas though.

We have a mother and chick sitting on the end of our roof day after day. You'd think the incessant nature of that shrill "feed me" cheep would give the chicks a sore throat. I'm just waiting to see the parent give the chick a kick off the roof in an effort to cure it's headache.
