Bridge open... bridge mobbed... media says "stay away from bridge"... bridge shuts... old bridge re-opens so 10k people can walk over new bridge... meanwhile cyclists can't use new bridge... old bridge shuts to cyclists on Monday for "operational" reasons... bridge operator has to provide transport... new bridge re-opens... old bridge shuts...

Ireland as well. The Millenium "Penny Bridge" & it's replacement over the Liffey.
