Thanks for that.
It's been a hectic summer with specialists visiting and us seeing solicitors etc. Still, Mrs B is doing well on the Meds and we're soon off to Cyprus for at least one more time. I can hardly wait for Cyprus as I need to relax and recover from what seems like a 24/7 tension headache I have these days!

Morning gentle tea-folk. Boy, there are some hot-heads on this forum. Luckily, they don't bother with us in here.

Morning all you lovely Tealandiers..............had to pop in to wish a certain young man a very Happy Birthday. 64 miles today Bobby???? You'll be able to have lots of if you do.

I on the other hand still feel lethargic and lazy so be lucky if I manage 6.4 miles!

You certainly deserve a break after what you have been dealing with. I had years with my mum and it really grinds you down unfortunately.
Enjoy the sun mate, I am off to my favourite destination in a couple of weeks for 2 weeks and certainly feel I need it. I have worked the entire summer since early May and certainly feel like I am due a break with plenty of miles in better conditions

Thanks again. It's an unwelcome thing that life just revolves 100% around the person with dementia who starts to disappear into their own little world as the carer disappears as far as being an individual is concerned. However, some of the experts are helpful, for example, the language therapist was able to teach us a couple of things that mean that I can now understand Mrs B when she can't find the words to string a sentence together where before it was such a frustration for both of us. However, Mrs B is still in the very early stages and the meds are great so we are still having a great life most of the time. The early diagnosis was Alzheimers and Vascular Dementia (called Mixed Dementia), although we are still awaiting a PET brain scan to firm up on that. I hope we get a date for the scan before we head off for Cyprus.
