In a better place, thanks. I've got a bit of tinnitus this morning - the music was a tad loud last night!

That song has a particular significance and I can remember it going round and round in my head once.
I sang 3 Petty songs at karaoke last night and belted your song out extra loud before moving on to Paranoid by Black Sabbath. It was a good Rock night for me last night. The KJ is also a Petty fan so he turned the volume up when I did the 3 Petty songs and played some Petty vids between singers. Great night.

Mrs B gave us all(herself included) a laugh at karaoke last night. At the moment the bar is running a prize draw for the singers and every night everyone who sings is put into the draw to pick a numbered envelope containing a slip for a mystery gift. Mrs B got drawn, went up to pick a number from a board, was given that number envelope, opened the envelope to reveal her prize and then turned around. When the prize was presented 30sec later she nearly jumped out of her skin and asked "Did I win?" in a totally shocked voice. The last time she won it took her 5mins to forget! She won a travel pillow so that will be handy in a couple of weeks time.:becool:

Isn't that a sign you're getting too old for pubs these days. When they're too noisy?
That's just reminded me of an incident about 30 years back when I was studying for my MIOSH Diploma. We were doing the audiometry section and I volunteered to take the hearing test. When the test was finished the results were printed and we discussed them. After the discussion we went for a tea break and the lecturer left my readout on the table. When we got back I was offered the readout and found someone had completed the comments section under the readings. "Can hear a mouse" for the right ear and "Can hear a mouse fart" for the left ear.

I've always been protective of my hearing and can still hear a pin drop, whereas, Mrs B is quite deaf with double hearing aids!
