Just noticed that it’s starting to get dark. That link didn’t work for me Classic so I’m just assuming the darkness is being caused by the monsters approach. We’re in for the day now so I won’t give it to much thought - as long as the roof stays intact!

From just before 14:00 hours. More a dull orange than is shown.

Nowt new about rain in Wales though.

'Morning all.
It's the calm before the storm here. At the moment it's just a bit damp but calm and mild. The wind is supposed to pick up in a couple of hours with the storm hitting hard from 3pm onwards. All schools in the province are closed today. We have a busy day as I have to take Mrs B to the GP for and ECG, blood tests and Flu jab followed by a visit to the dentist just as the storm is due to hit.

Hurricane was supposed to hit at 06:00 approx, they reckoned!!

Have the train drivers taken control of it? Late running storm. "The Kingdom" should be the first part of Ireland hit. Shannon still not reporting anything odd, weatherwise.

Schools seem to shut for owt these days, rain, snow & now wind.

Just take care of yourself, no storm hunting!!

We were never forecast it as bad as you but it has sure been windy all afternoon and its still pretty windy outside.
I just hope clears as soon as possible.

We had the weirdest orange sky this afternoon. It was truly bizarre. Apparently this storm has dragged a whole lot of Saharan dust over with it. I can imagine a mediaeval peasant thinking this was some sort of omen from the gods.
