Good evening folks. Non believer here as well, even though i was dragged up as a Catholic (Irish parents) bleh.

Me too. Even did my duty as both an altar boy and member of the choir.
Back in the day one tended to get a lot of devout RC Irish parents in Ireland!

Sunday school was just religious indoctrination. My parents used it to get us out of their hair for an hour or two. It used to be a thing. Now, not so much.

They can keep em after school now, no need for teachers to have to work Sundays.

They weren't teachers. They were priests, vicars, and other church types. I was trouble. I didn't have to put up with it for long.

As for the choir part, I was told to look as though I was singing, make no attempt to sing, ever.

She was one of the stricter nuns I've seen. Smile the wrong way in her class and you were in trouble.

I only found out a few years ago, from another teacher that was there when I was.
