Met Office is generally pretty good on their mobile app,
I can find weather 'windows' no problem...

My pine cone is no good stuck on my desk plus I've no room for any cows to lie down on my front lawn, well, maybe fit one in on a diet

Noting which way it shelters is a better indication of bad weather, and the direction it's most likely to be coming from. Even when they remain stood up.
