T'is afternoon(early) now though.Thanks
I had debated a gingerly ride through the woods but the damp road outside tempered my enthusiasm plus got word that it was a sheet of ice at 5.30 to outside the scheme (you can't take the Greenock out of me) I'm told it is an estate
so some odd jobs were caught up on.
I even debated topping the grass....
You leave oor Mo alone,
she's looking after the auld yin
and its afternoon..
I did start this when it was still morning![]()
Basic plumbing and joinery..T'is afternoon(early) now though.
How odd were jobs you caught up on?
Get the cuppa down yer. Then set it up ready for another, after you've jump started the car and come back inside.Basic plumbing and joinery..
sounds impressive, a twist or two with an allen key and a sand of a door top corner..
still got a car to jump start later (with leads)
That takes me back - a favourite toy back then! Are they still made?Get one of these pens we used to have at school with the 3 colours.![]()

A good start is an understatement to say the least. The meeting with the builder went well, and was reassuring because he mentioned how good the area was and how sound the house was a couple of times as he walked through and around the place.
First thing is a rewire. The surveyor had mentioned the consumer unit being old and the builder took one look and said that needs to be replaced and as the building is of the exact age when a rewire is suggested I should just do everything now and that would be it done for life. So that's the thing that I'll get done right away. That should give me a good start.
The builder was even very understanding about Mrs B and said he could have his men working only on days when she is in Day Care to minimise disturbance to her,
A good start to the day/refurb![]()
These contractors are all people known to my Project Manager - some of them are even friends who she's had do work for herself, friends and neighbours. I was presented with a list of the different tradesmen that she'll use and she discussed order of work with me.A good start is an understatement to say the least.
An understanding builder, odd these days. In and out as quick as possible and onto the next job for most.
