And little light pollution as well.
Wait whilst you get some decent weather and watch the sunrise and sunsets from up there.
Yes, the hill is small but we have already had a little hint of what the spring/summer sunsets may be - we're looking forward to seeing one of those sunsets that light the horizon. Sunrise should also be good.

There is light pollution at the front(facing the sunrise) but the dark back garden may be good for stargazing. I'll try my binoculars some dry and mild night to try things.:becool:

Woken at 4am, with the sun streaming through your window.

Assuming we get a Summer.

Yep. Turning wetter now though and seems to be causing chaos on the roads. Things seem to come to a standstill so much quicker now even although modern cars have ABS, traction control, etc. I used to travel in some horrendous snow and always made it.........albeit with white knuckles!
Seems to be falling back in on itself,
did my wee shovelly bit out front, salt down in case bums to the ground..
luckily now, a wee bit to do...
I just left the motorbike at home..
it was all dowhill to work, literally for 2 miles of it
that's why I never used that cycle to work bike:laugh:
I did but took it back up in the van^_^
Stay safe, young 'un:okay:

No breakfast outside today:cuppa:

Falling onto grit/salt can be painful. More than just hitting the pavement.

What's wrong with a two mile downhill run into work. Very little, if any, pedalling required.

Why can't you have breakfast outside? Just wipe away a small spot to sit on.

Morning??

Owdo, this fine morn

Very little moving here. Even the 4X4 wannabe's in their modified landrovers aren't venturing out.
Brute force and ignorance seem to be the main requirements for driving in snow these days. And when brute force fails, the ignorance shows through.

Many aren't used to snow on the roads these days. First thing they do is panic, then they get into their cars. Then end up stuck.

There's more on the way!

'Morning all :hello:

We still have the light rain - it's been non stop since yesterday morning. Town still peeking out from under the murk.
Owdo

We'd rain yesterday, but it turned cooler late last night. Started snowing shortly after five this morning.

When you can no longer see the town, then it's one of two things,
It's vanished.
It's under water, in which case you're stuck.

Make the most of any snow that comes your way.

I just use table salt for the little path...
Nothing, I could be at work in minutes, the hills back up are testers:sad:
The van was much easier^_^
It's now turned to a light drizzle..
surprised you never asked what the canes in the grass were doing.

Shed and greenhouse, hopefully..
preparation might be fun knowing how they 'finished' the landscaping..
horse hoofs everywhere:laugh:

You've got to put some effort in, no free lunches and all that.

Those canes don't appear to be doing very much, just standing there, watching, waiting for the right moment, then...

Getting bad out there now. Just had a four wheel drive New Holland* crawl up the main road.

*The sort with four foot front wheels.

That would be when I'll regret selling my rowing boat 2 years ago! It had got to the point where the boat was just gathering dirt so I off loaded it. Never thought about being stranded on my own little island at some time in the future - how short sighted of me:laugh:
