Day 322
A fog limits visibility to less than 50 yards, masking almost all sound. The air is quiet, with only the odd sharp noise piercing the silence. Will this ever end.

Morning all:hello:
Rain only (YET)

Wires crossed, me...

It's a card for each contact?

You've been told there's yellow snow on the way, down your way.

Franke-Taylor design, 8-FSK modulation
It's only if you want that person's card,
I only return if I receive their card unless it is a card I want.
More modern ways are LoTW, eQSL and others.
Electronic is much easier but as the user base is tbh elderly , old habits die hard.
I've my templates back and have only a couple of bits to change....
The Taylor bloke is a Nobel Prize winner..

Owdo
Is it yellow rain, as promised, though.

Are yours filed in date or alphabetical order. To be honest, I thought the "card collecting" went out years ago.

You got your refreshments, don't go hungry.

Dunno, I've over 600 in a plastic tub.
I'm in the RSGB, they have what's called a Bureau.
Cards arrive there for me and they go to my call QSL rep, I send him SAEs and he sends me what arrives.
I package up my returns and they go to a central point, split into countries and they distribute, it can take years for cards to appear or be verified.....

Still:rain:
Aye, could be snow as cold enough..
plenty of stock:laugh:

That's why I thought the cards had been done away with. Things just took too much time and effort.

These that you send back to your agent(rep as you called him), do you have a monitored "post box/drop box" where you leave them?

Not supplies, HA5!

It'll cool again tonight. Can you still see "the Ben"?

We are due to get our jabs this evening so the sore arms may manifest tonight.
Here's to no other side effects.

And no winding each other up whilst you're waiting.

Thanks Classic.

That 2nd point is a good one as these days Mrs B can get agitated very easily - I had to deal with a real doozie when getting her ready for Day Care yesterday. The agitation can lead to frustration on my part, as it's hard to deal with, so things can spiral downwards. In the last telephone consultation we had with her care team a couple of weeks back the first mention of mild antipsychotics was made - I hope she is years away from needing that sort of med as they can open up a whole worse ball game.

Time passes and it's hard to believe we are now 4-5 years post diagnosis. Symptom wise Mrs B has moved from the mild to the moderate stage.

It's "sharp scratch" nowadays. No more it's only a little one. She could give as good.

You've got each other, that's the main thing.

You'll never get over it unless you face your fear straight on. Break out the sewing box and sew something.

Why's there a binbag coming out of his back pocket.
Why's he not keeping an eye on the dangerous end.
How'd it get there, how many more.
You'll say you're scared of snakes next.
