I'll sell my soul for anything Cadbury:laugh:
even bags of broken bits:whistle:

We passed through some hefty showers on the way home late afternoon..

Roll on Friday for a go anywhere....
Freedom:laugh:
Oft to watch telly
I've a bar(180g) of Cadburys Caramel!
And they're in one piece, not in bits.

Rain or snow?

Lifting of restrictions, I presume...

Turn it on, there's more to see if you do that first.

I haven't replaced it yet; currently I'm using a pan on the stove.

I've got the amount down to a fine art so it boils quickly.
It can't be that hard to buy a kettle.

Small pan with a lid works best.

'Morning folks.:hello::sun:

Floor to be done this morning. Walls to be drilled for shower etc., around lunch time, then grouting to be done this afternoon.

Rest of bathroom fittings to go in tomorrow and so it will be Friday before we have a working bathroom, after the seals have dried.

I will have to risk getting Mrs B washed for Day Care again and I don't want to do that. Given the way things are going to go with the dementia over the next few years I suppose I'll just have to MTFU and get on with it.

Speaking of kettles, I bought this one a couple of months ago - for use when we get our new kitchen. It has temperature control and stay warm functions so I couldn't resist as the price was good at the time of purchase. I needed some retail therapy, rather than a kettle, at the time.

I have a new one coming today. I like either glass or stainless steel to avoid the nasty plastic leeching chemicals into the water. BPA free I think they call it. I then eat ready meals and junk and get my nasty chemicals that way instead!

Morning all:hello:

Not big enough:laugh:

Rain..

Lifting of some restrictions^_^
Owdo

So much for "I'll sell my soul for anything Cadbury:laugh:
even bags of broken bits:whistle:"
. Besides they reduced the bar size, not me.
I'll just eat them myself then, I can wait.

We'd non, dry and sunny all day here.

As happened here on the 12th. You'll go mad with the extra freedom. Here, there and anywhere you like.

Morning??

You got the sun as well. Wonder if it's reached Bob's place yet.

The last of the dusty work being done, in that room. Then it's you can look, but not touch for a day. Have a hose-down to remind yourself of what you'll be missing once it's finished.

You'll get used to it, in your own way.
As for MTFU, why? You'd not have been together as long if that were the only thing you'd to do. Whilst the memories may be harder gain, they're still in there and they'll still resurface. Even if it's hard to put them into words. For both of you, remember that.

Morning??

What'd you do to the old one. If it still works you could give(sell) it to @Andy in Germany, once you get your new one.

Does it boil the water though!

Why a stay warm function, or was that just an extra at the time. Cool wall I can understand, but temperature control!

Is it voice activated, leaving both hands free. Enabling you to shout at it to boil before you leave your seat.

Yes, it boils water. I like the idea of stay warm as I like to have a cuppa, then do a bit of housework, then have another cuppa, so it amused me that the kettle might be sitting ready for that 2nd cuppa. I thought the temperature control would be good for coffee as I don't use boiling water for that. It isn't a smart kettle though.

The idea of the functions just amused me as I need these little things to cheer me at times.

Thanks for your other comments - I'm in a 'hang on in there' phase at the moment(they've become more frequent over the last 18mths or so).

I've only ever bought one kettle with temperature control, and found out that it didn't actually boil the water in the first place. Close, but never boiled it.

It went back the next day. The manager on the returns desk(Customer Satisfaction) wanted to know what I expected it to do. Expecting it to boil water was pushing it, it seemed.

I got this one after seeing a 'Which' report, which said it did the full boil - I hope they were right!

We are now busy clearing cupboards in the kitchen - just got a call to say the guys will arrive at 7:30am tomorrow to rip the old kitchen out so the new installation can start on Monday. Good grief, it's all kicking off - I hope we survive!!:wacko:

A "stay warm" function is one advantage of a pan on the cooker: it heats the kitchen so I stay warm.

BTW Thanks for supporting a local company.
I like Bosch equipment - Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, hedge trimmer and lawnmower are all Bosch. I also sang a couple of karaoke songs in German in the bars here and in Cyprus(pre pandemic!).

You may recall that some time back I bought a language course to improve my German. I haven't started it yet but will knuckle down when we get settled in the house(whenever that will be!). I'm looking forward to that as it may help me expand my karaoke track list - I don't want to try too much until I've improved my speaking skill as it's not always easy to get things right from a YouTube track that has heavy backing music drowning the lyrics.
