Good to hear.
I presume you can still hear okay. They heard a lawnmower, and knew it were yours! It must be a noisy one if it can be heard from afar.
Yeah, from 20 mins drive away:laugh:
Mover (electric) is okay but I keep having to replace nuts bolts switch, bought a replacement switch and it lasted two cuts if lucky so a bodge job now does.
A few patches of either Couch or Timothy so down at the lowest cut for the next month to see if I can get rid of it..

Wot about tattie bag growth:laugh:
monstrous:ohmy:

She's half decent hearing then, or it's your bodge jobs that's the problem.
Avoid the 90p switches, they're a shock hazard, and dangerous.
Your blade up to the job in hand.

Not too shabby.
Owt underneath that where it counts?

Shappy corrected to shabby.
What's shappy?

That's what we are wondering..
going to be interesting when the schaws die back..
It was a few Rooster potatoes that had been lying in a bag and were well chitted,
I've another empty bag and potatoes chitted ready to go.

I'll build a proper frame for the peas for next year,
it's an odd place to have grown them but they have boomed as well so.....

not the best photo but enough for a portion picked earlier..

If it's putting all it's efforts into growing above ground, there'll be little underground.

Were you wondering about your daughters hearing or how yer spuds are doing?

Peas look a bit on thin side. Hope you're feeding young 'in more than peas.

I put a layer of well rotted manure below the compost the spuds are in,
I did the same with the peas/onion sets (in a bag too) (and sweet peas) and the pea plants are producing..
It'll be interesting what does come out of the bag, plants are flowering so not long to die back and maybe a second crop.

Early today, you'll be off out somewhere I take it.
I remember twisting the heads of any plant growing too well above ground, to prevent further growth above ground.

Let's hope you get more than the one meal from a plant. Enjoy the fruits of yer labours as it were.

Morning??

Aye, out just before 8 on the bike to avoid the heat later on..
It was hot even then..
almost the same as the other day, a mix of woods, rough paths, country and main roads..
enjoyable.

I last did any veg and tomato stuff 30 years plus?
Happy but any lessons learned will be put into practice next year plus I'll organise sowing seeds much earlier and try get second crops of spuds in bags. The tomato plants were bought although I have two in the aldi mini- vertical (they call it mini-greenhouse) cold frame looking well and growing, they were from seed, onions were sets...
some ideas of fruit as well, daughter has three strawberry plants producing (doesn't know I feed them)..
Good fun.
KP2 newie this morn..

And about.

eight is too late, you need to go out at Mo's time. Cooler and less traffic on the roads.
Wait whilst the warm weather gets here, you'll be dropping before you even get up.

Fruit and veg! you're getting ambitious.
Odd tomato plants in bags, were a must have item last year, but not this.

US Virgin Islands?

You having trouble sleeping. Afraid Mo might be planning an early morning sneak attack. Make yer porridge the night before, reheating it in the morning. Or just get it ready to go.

This early radio resulted in the new contact today.

Do you think you'll be independent of your greengrocer this year, with what you have growing.

Today was forecast to be the coldest day of the recent cold snap. I'd say this puts the heatwave, due to start next week, in doubt.

Double beer. Is that a larger glass or the same glass refilled.

You were up and on yer bike, by this time yesterday. Nowt to do with a late morning today by any chance.
There'll be someone along within a week of it being finished to dig it up.

Porridge is important to you.

When do you think you'll be sitting down to your first full meal of your own produce. You thinking about your crumble, and custard again.

Thought weather stations were to be placed in a "neutral position" for the temperatures to count as accurate.

Anyway, Morning??
