It's Caturday

Early hours today:laugh:
VERY early:ohmy:
Yeah, I guess after working almost every hour (and more) , I deserve a lazy retirement..
over 6 years of being lazy so far.....
I was out last night, radio club....
Owdo
Tha were early today.
Becoming a creature of the night, and no full moon last night either.

Don't they mind then?
When you stopped working you found time to muck about. Six years of mucking about so far and still more to do. No rushing into things now.

You down at the scout hut again. Now I know why you had money yesterday, tea and biscuits need paying for.

No biccies..
Someone brought home made mince pies along, yohoho !

I never missed my employers.
I laugh everytime I see ' services are being cut due to lack of spending' yet jobs never go with any cuts made..
we went from weekly to fortnightly then monthly wages and the staff in that department actually increased ?
Still keep in touch with a couple of ex workmates since I moved E.
Covid has obviously curtailed visiting, Mrs M still does the odd lunch with old pals, I'd throw the bike in the car and just cycle back home.
Just seen another dog walking by with a full woollen(?) coat covering everything but tail and head, looks glakit

anyhow, the world awaits (or Europe, so far)

No biccies, I'd not go again until they can guarantee you'll have them with yer cuppa.
How were the mince pies?

Don't think wage payment period saved anything but time, which was used on something else. Doubt it saves anything if computers are involved.

They'll always find "funds" for their pet projects, never fear.

You throw your bike in the car, that poor bike. You'll have lights on the bike for those runs home, along with the christmas tree lights on yerssen?

Fashion items, doubt the dogs know that though. Or care.

Just leave a trail of breadcrumbs to follow to get you back home.

Pehs were braw:ohmy:
I wouldn't need a trail to lead me home,
done the trip on quite a few occasions..
canal bank for just over 30 miles,
mind you at this time of years lights would be needed..
I have lights but batteries will be well shot..
Polly is gently, lovingly placed.

I was thinking more of the "rest of the world" should you be feeling more energetic than usual.
Front at least, if you don't want a cold, unexpected bath.
Batteries are cheap enough, £1 for 12. Might not last as long as some, but they'll get you home.

Good to hear you don't just throw her in the car.

I had plans for wee trips but obviously the pandemic put that on the backburner..
I suppose maybe next year?
I've a couple of front lights, powerful but they just drain batteries....
one is like a single car headlight, but only for a short journey (two streets )

By chance would you have been headed SouthWest?
Why not, it'll do you good to get out and about. Even if you stay inside.
Like that are they. Longer extension lead or a portable generator on the rack. Also handy for powering a radio for instance.
Be a short ride, end of the street and back.

What happened to Europe, possibly the world!
C2C would be shorter up at your end of the island. Should manage it two days, easily.
It's only a number, don't worry...
And you thought flat pack furniture were bad. You'll do it though.

Got three in NA later..
too busy doing other stuff.
I've doneC2C here quite a few times,
shortest is possibly Bowling (the W start of Forth&Clyde canal) to the Carron Sea Lock ( Eend of Forth&Clyde canal)
30 odd miles?
34.6 miles google maps says via NCR
I was 12 miles from my old house to the start at Bowling but only once headed to Bowling so instead I dropped off the Erskine Bridge and onto the canal heading E wards, diverting eventually after returning back from the Kelpies to the top of Falkirk, old house to here would be 40?
You could count Fort Bill to Inverness if needed, did that once...

Spring 22 I'll get something done, honest

You could manage that in an afternoon and still be home in time for tea.
Go for it! Coast to Coast, twice in a day, just don't mention the distance as casually mention it.

You'll do something when your able, don't worry what anyone thinks.

NA?

Day 645
The clear night sky has been replaced with a grey fog that limits visibility. It also deadens any sound from outside.
What will happen as the day goes on?
Will it get worse?
Will it snow? Has the sun finally gone out?

So many questions, so few answers...
